DMORSE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
April 2, 2014[wp_ad_camp_2]
“I try to keep it professional when performing and not celebrating too much 🙂 “
How did you first get involved with dance music?
I have always been involved in Dance music, I started out playing all genres of music from disco, alternative rock, and dance. I always was drawn more to the electronic genre. ranging from earlier days of trance, hard dance, progressive and house, I was always drawn back to house music and the way it makes people smile.
Which major DJ surprised you the most when that DJ started to support your tracks?
Well I felt very honored when many top artists supported the tracks for example Tiesto, Markus Schulz Paul Van Dyk, Richie Hawtin, Roger Sanchez.
When did you first establish your relationship with System Recordings?
I have had a good relationship with them for a while now, they have always been real supportive.
What does your studio look like? Is it all ‘in the box’ or do you like hardware studio gear as well?
I am constantly working on adding more gear. I feel I learn something different with each new addition. With technology today there is always something new.
Share a distinctive production trick
That’s classified 🙂 I will tell you something that has helped don’t get hung up too long on one track if something isn’t working. Move on to another and come back later. You will see it in a different light when you come back.
What’s coming up for you in the next few months?
In the next few months I will be finishing up some more production projects that I am excited about and I will be performing in a couple different cities. I will also be back later in the year on the largest water festival the Groove Cruise.
Which DJ is a true inspiration to yourself?
I don’t really have a specific one , but who i do respect and get inspired by is a a hard working artist who constantly spends time on improving his knowledge in our field.
The most annoying habit the average DJ is known for which you try to avoid
I don’t really find an annoying habit with the average DJ, but I try to keep it professional when performing and not celebrating too much 🙂 We are fortunate to be where we are and we shouldn’t take that for granted. Also another annoying habit is when some DJ’s gets on the microphone constantly,
it ruins the vibe.
Is there anything else you would like to mention?
As an artist constantly be studying and researching our business, stay on the cutting edge. You can never stop learning.
